ST THOMAS MORES SCHOOL , FALLAPIT HOUSE EAST ALLINGTON DEVON TQ97QF
had an OFSTED inspection in 1996 and 1997 and was closed down following the OFSTED inspection . The school was NOT a suitable environment for children and NOT safe .

Some former staff have been investigated by police .

    I was at the school from 1974 till 1981 and the abuse mental physical and emotional was horrendous Melvyn c wishart

    77 to 81 , sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, starvation, humiliation.

      Duggan had Long dark scruffy hair he had new pair of shoes for every day colourfull platform shoes.and a violent streak.

      Hi Daniel... I remember you, I was also there to the very end, and I also remember everything that happened behind closed doors. I've said it before, the school may be gone but were still standing and remembering. Take everything you can from life mate and make sure it's meaningful All the best mate. Bless.

    I remember the school, I was there to the very end when the school closed down. I remember the staff and the things that they done, always restraining us pinning us down to the floor and keeping us there, and the staff then swapping over because they had been there for to long. I was sent to that school to get away from the abuse at home and the problems, the school that was ment to of been a safe haven, well you now what I say to that don't you, the place was nothing more then "A home from home". I remember the staffs names, I remember when he would pull me out of bed in the morning and kick me when I was on the floor for not getting out of bed when I was ill. I remember when she got sacked for giving a kicking to the other boy, and then there was the one from Paignton that used to always lie to get you into trouble, yep you got it "Here we go again more restraints", Oh yes and then there was my maths teacher, the one that knew about the sexual abuse I got put through as a child when I was at home. The only person that I told back then and trust me I never told anyone again. Why because it wasn't worth it, It wasn't taken seriously, I was just a liar. I left stm a completely messed up boy not knowing who I was or where to go. So thank you stm and thanks for all the staff you'll never be forgotten.
